Realtime Boat Configurator

The project allows the user to configure basic features of a semi-luxurious boat model. These include:

• changing color and materials of several parts of the boat
• selecting different sizes and variants of models like sunbeds and sofas
• writing a custom name on the side of the boat

The user can also view the boat from every angle and get a good sense for what their configuration will look like.

About

The configurator is a prototype for a study project in realtime graphics in my current studies. I worked on the project for about 2.5 weeks and created everything from scratch, except for the wood and fabric textures. The boat model itself was modelled in Blender and is heavily based on the "Beneteau Swift Trawler 30".  Texturing was done in Substance Painter and then imported into Unity, where I also programmed all the interactive functionality in C#.
